Today I attended PMFootprint session at PMI chapter on Obeya. Mr Sundaram from Kirloskar took the session. This is a agile method used in Toyota. In Japanese obeya means big room. In a obeya room for a project all the project management information and status are pined on board. In this process daily standing meetings are held within the process group, weekly meetings are held among responsible representative of working group. Monthly meeting are held with all members like "All Hands Meeting". Direct interaction of involved members is the main aim. Obeya is leaded by a obeya secretary. He conducts the meeting though the meeting is attended by higher management authorities. All the reports are put in single sheet paper. Bad news are put first and highlighted in red color.
